BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Domaine Presqu’île de La Franqui

Article 1 : Reservation

Anyone wishing to stay at the Domain is advised to book in advance. Lodge rentals are for a minimum of 2 nights all year round, except July/August when rentals are for a minimum of 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday). There is an exception for campsite pitches, which can be rented for one night at any time of year.

Minors are not accepted unaccompanied by their parents. Parental waivers are not accepted.

Pre-booking a specific pitch number is possible but not guaranteed (unless the “choice of pitch/lodge” option has been taken). The Management reserves the right to change the allocation of the pre-booked pitch/lodge to another in the same pitch/lodge category at any time.

The reservation will only be confirmed once the customer has received a confirmation e-mail. For all bookings, the customer must pay a down payment of 30% of the total cost of the holiday. The booking is considered firm and definitive once the deposit has been received, and constitutes acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale.

Article 2 : Payment

The balance of the stay must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival. For bookings made less than 30 days before the date of arrival, the total amount of the stay must be paid directly at the time of booking.

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Eurocard-Mastercard, Maestro. You can also pay in cash.

A valid bank credit card will be required as a deposit, on which a bank imprint of €300.00 will be made. In some cases, however, the imprint may appear as a pending debit on the bank account associated with the card used. In rare cases, the authorisation request may result in a debit by the customer’s bank before the actual debit is made. In this case, the balance will be automatically re-credited by the bank to the customer and may appear as a refund.

Article 3 : Tourist tax

The tourist tax, per adult and per night, is included in the price of the reservation. The amount varies each year.

Article 4 : Reservation modification

Exclusively subject to availability, changes to the dates of stay may be done by the Domain. In this case, the customer must inform the Domaine Presqu’île de La Franqui by e-mail at the following address: lafranqui@viglamo.com.

The Management reserves the right to dispose of the pitch/lodge if there is no news from the customer 24 hours after the scheduled arrival date. As in the case of early departures, this cannot under any circumstances give rise to a refund.

The Domaine Presqu’île de La Franqui accepts no responsibility and cannot be held liable for the vagaries of the weather.

Article 5 : Reservation cancellation

In accordance with article L121-21-8 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts for the provision of accommodation, catering or leisure activities provided on a specific date or for a specific period. No reimbursement of sums paid for cancellation of a reservation is possible, except where the Viglamo cancellation guarantee has been taken out. The rate is €5 per night for Majestic Lodges, €4 per night for Eco Lodges Manyara, and €2.50 per night for Tente Lodges and pitches. The guarantee must be taken out at the time of booking or up to 48 hours after the booking date. This guarantee guarantees full reimbursement of the stay (excluding cancellation guarantee fees) in the event of cancellation up to the day before arrival in the following cases, and concerning one of the persons registered on the reservation:

  • Illness (certificate required).
  • Accident (certificate required).
  • Death in the family (certificate required).
  • Refusal of leave by employer (employer’s certificate).
  • Resumption of professional activity following a period of unemployment (employer’s certificate).
  • Loss of employment (certificate of redundancy or job loss).

To obtain a refund, the Domaine Presqu’île de La Franqui must be informed no later than the day before the arrival date and proof of cancellation must reach the Domaine Presqu’île de La Franqui no later than 15 days after the theoretical arrival date. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this deadline.

The Cancellation Guarantee is only applicable for the reasons mentioned above, and does not take into account circumstances of force majeure such as fire, flood, epidemics, famine, earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters or the regulation or actions of any authority or civil or military act of any self-regulatory authority, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, sabotage, theft or other criminal acts of third parties.

Article 6 : Access to lodges, departure and arrival

Anyone wishing to stay at the Domaine must identify themselves and any accompanying persons. It is possible to arrive after reception has closed: instructions are given in each confirmation email.

For rental accommodation : Check-in from 4pm – Check-out before 10am.

For camping pitches : Check-in 2pm – Check-out before 12pm.

On arrival, unless agreed by one of the receptionists, the customer may not require to occupy the lodge before 4pm, or the pitch before 2pm.

Late check-out is possible at no extra charge, on request to reception the day before departure (and subject to availability).

A deposit will be requested by the establishment on arrival (by credit card, see article 2).

On departure, customers must return the lodge key to reception. If the key is lost or not returned at the end of the stay, it will be charged to the customer using the credit card given as a guarantee at the time of booking, or at the time of departure, at a rate of €35 per copy.

Customers are strictly forbidden to take any item belonging to the Domaine. They must inform reception if they notice a mistake and return it, otherwise they will be billed.

Article 7 : Pets

Pets are accepted (except 1st and 2nd category dogs) and the up-to-date health record and/or European passport must be presented on arrival. They must be vaccinated and identified by tattoo or microchip. No animals will be accepted on the Domain if the health record or European passport is not provided on arrival.

Pets are subject to a special charge (€4/day/pet), which customers must pay when booking. A maximum of two pets is allowed per pitch/lodge.

They must be kept on a lead within the Domaine. They must not be left free or even locked up on the site in the absence of their masters, who are civilly responsible for them.

Any damage, whether caused intentionally or unintentionally, must be paid for by the customer.

Article 8 : Parking

We are a car-free Domain. No vehicles are allowed to park next to the lodge. Traffic is restricted, with the exception of check-in and check-out days when only one vehicle is allowed to return to unload belongings at its lodge. It is forbidden to circulate between 11pm and 6am in the Domain. Guests staying in lodges must park in the private car park reserved for Domain guests. It is located next to the camper van area and you will be told how to get there when you arrive at reception. Access to the car park for a second vehicle will only be possible on prior request and will be charged at €5 per day.

Camping pitches are authorized to have only one motorized vehicle per pitch.

Article 9 : Visitors

No additional visitors, either on arrival or during their stay, will be admitted without the prior agreement of the Domain’s Management. Day visitors must pay an entrance fee. Day visitors do not have access to the swimming pool area unless they have purchased a visitor’s wristband at reception. Swimming is unsupervised. The Domaine accepts no responsibility in the event of an accident.

Article 10 : Degradation

The lodges made available to our customers are checked, functional and in good condition. Customers are asked to report any shortcomings immediately to the Domain’s reception desk. In the event of a problem, the customer will be held liable. In the event of damage, the Domain reserves the right to invoice the customer for the cost of repair or replacement. The same applies to any infringement noted after the customer’s departure. The Domain may charge a cleaning fee (€65) if the lodge is left in a state that is deemed unsuitable.

Article 11 : Lost and found

If the customer requests the return of forgotten items by parcel or post, this will be done with tracking and insurance for valuable items. Shipping costs will be invoiced to the customer.

Article 12 : Acceptance of general terms and conditions of sale

The Domain’s rules apply to all bookings. Any stay implies acceptance of the terms and conditions.

For publicity purposes, the manager of the Domain or a service provider may take photographs of your accommodation, your children or yourself. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the Domain management in writing.

Failure to comply with the above provisions will result in immediate termination of the contract and the customer will be asked to leave the Domain without being able to claim any refund.
